Lala의 본명은 Lalla Francia 이다. 그녀는 Savage의 Don't Cry Tonight 백보컬로 참여 하게 되면서 이를 계기로 Johnny Johnny 를 부르게 된다. 이곡은 이탈로 디스코 가수이자 작곡가로 유명한 Savage(본명은 Roberto Zanetti : born November 28, 1956)가 Robyx라는 또 다른 이름으로 만들어 준 곡이다.
"Paul P.Jeffery"와 "Robyx(Roberto Zanetti)"의 공동 기획에 의해서 작사및 작곡이 되어 1986년에 독일의 "Ariola Eurodisc GmbH"사와 이탈리아의 "Academy Records"사에서 "12 Inch Vinyl"형식의 "Italo-Disco"스타일의 "Electronic"장르의 곡으로 동시에 발매가 된다.
Robyx와 함께한 오직 이 한 곡만으로 Lala 라는 가수 이름은 유명해졌고 이곡 역시 명곡중에 명곡으로 뽑히는 곡중에 하나가 되었다. 그리고 Lalla Francia는 많은 유명한 가수들의 백보컬로도 활동 했었다
