이곡을 부른 Diana Ross 의 대해서 조금만 소개한다면...........
가장 성공적인 여성 아티스트, Diana Ross 그녀는 1944년 3월22일 디트로이트에서 태어났다.
다이애나 로스가 자신의 친구들과 함께 결성한 프라이미츠(Primettes)란 이름의 4인조 그룹으로 출발하게 되면서 가수로서 삶은 시작된다. 곧 3인조로 재편된 1961년 슈프림스(Supremes)로 이름을 바꾸고나서 메인 보컬로 그녀는 8년간 많은 히트곡을 남긴다. 그리고 슈프림스 해체 이후에..그녀는 솔로 가수로 독립 후 작곡가/프로듀서 팀인 니콜라스 애시포드 및 발레리 심슨과 호흡을 맞추며 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'(1970) 등의 히트곡을 터뜨렸고.. 재즈 보컬 빌리 홀리데이의 전기 영화 [레이디 싱스 더 블루스(Lady Sings The Blues)](1972)에 직접 출연하기도 했었다. 그리고 그녀의 두번째 출연 영화인 [마호가니(Mahogany)]에서는 올디스 팬들의 기억에 선연히 남아있는 'Do You Know Where You're Going To'로 차트 정상에 등극한다.

디스코 시대에도 'Love Hangover'와 'Upside Down', 'I'm Coming Out' 등의 히트 싱글을 터뜨리며 최고의 여가수로 군림한 그녀는 라이오넬 리치와 함께 부른 영화 [엔드리스 러브(Endless Love)]의 동명의 주제가 역시 히트시킨다. 1980년대 후반 이후 이렇다 할 활약을 펼치지는 못했지만 그녀가 가장 성공적인 음악 활동을 펼친 여성가수 중의 한 사람이라는 것은 부인할 수 없을 것이다
